Today in our institute with the PROJECT WHY DO YOU GIVE YOUR TIME? in collaboration with fuerteventurajoven of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura.

SEXUAL HEALTH

According to the World Health Organization, sexual health can be defined as:

a state of physical, emotional, mental and social well-being related to sexuality; it is not merely the absence of disease, dysfunction or infirmity. Sexual health requires a positive and respectful approach to sexuality and sexual relationships, as well as the possibility to obtain pleasure and safe sexual experiences, free from coercion, discrimination and violence"

The importance of sexual health constitutes a relevant part of people's lives since it influences the physical, mental, emotional and social levels. Therefore, it contributes to well-being and personal happiness. Today this issue is approached with respect, providing the necessary information for men and women to acquire and maintain healthy sexual habits. Thus avoiding unwanted situations such as unwanted pregnancies, contagion of sexually transmitted diseases. discrimination based on sexual condition, harassment in the educational and labor spheres or gender violence.

It is for this reason that Sexual Education workshops are being carried out in our institute. The social worker and sexologist of the City Council of La Oliva Alejandra Batista Díaz presents her project "EDUCATING IN SEXUALITY" that in three sessions will speak to our students about the importance of having sexual health.

Once again we thank the City Council of La Oliva for the help and support of our ERASMUS+ FIT4THOUGHT project.

PANTALLÓMETRO PROJECT

The SCREEN METER PROJECT is intended to prevent the misuse of technology by students.

The disproportionate use of mobile phones can harm our health. It is important to be aware that we must use the mobile phone responsibly. One of the most serious problems is sleep problems or eye fatigue. so for "The first hour of the day it is convenient not to check emails, or send messages or check social networks, unless it is unavoidable, to respect basic schedules, apart from pending tasks. At the end of the day, before going to bed, It is important to turn off devices such as laptops and tablets to let the eyes rest from the light of the screen.Reading a book, writing or walking are activities that help disconnect the mind from the activities of the day and fall asleep better. , it is also recommended to activate night mode or airplane mode on the mobile, to avoid receiving notifications at night and thus relax and rest"

SLEEP AND NIGHT REST IS ESSENTIAL TO HAVE A HEALTHY LIFE

Environmental education is a fundamental pillar of social transformation, from the work of values such as caring for the planet, the species that inhabit it and self-care, the aim is to establish another form of more humane relationship in the educational context and outside of it. . Learning to live with the uncertainty derived from the climatic emergency, the current situation and the reunion with nature must be the closest horizon.

We are working within our institute in a green space, free of stress, inclusive and full of smiles. In collaboration with the teacher Marina and the PMAR students we are CREATING A GARDEN where we are planting trees, planting seeds and creating an urban garden and a chill out area. We also try to create a butterfly garden.
